Creating a World Class Dinosaur Museum

The museum will include a visitor services centre, foyer, theatre, interactive and interpretive display experiences, boardrooms, classrooms, student research laboratory, offices and an extensive collections area. The sustainable eco-friendly construction will be a single story with a fully developed basement.

Outside

The unique design of the exterior of the building will draw in visitors from far and wide; the contents and significant palaeontogical materials will keep them coming back! A natural history Time Walk will surround the building and the operation of a shuttle bus leading to the bonebed will enable visitors to get a close up glimpse of the thrill of an excavation, while protecting this rich source of palaeontogical finds.

Main Level

An electronic donor recognition program - The Wall of Honour - will honour those who had a hand in the project and give them the noteriety they deserve.  With the latest technologies, an 18,000 ft2 of exhibit display area, a theatre to seat 60 including a stage, a cafeteria, gift shop, office space, a lounge, washrooms, visitor information centre and a board room for 20 any visit or event can be comfortably hosted on site.

Lower Level

Two state of the art classrooms and a student research laboratory encompass the fully finished basement. Many of the fossils will be housed here while research is being collected and the object is ready for display.

Exterior Time Walk

The unique design of the building's exterior will incorporate a Time Walk. This Time Walk will include display stations that supports the story told within the museum. Convenient park benches will be placed along the trail acknowledging major sponsors. The Time Walk will be exceptionally accessable allowing visitors to walk, push strollers and be wheel chair friendly for ease of mobility.
